My hack is to exploit the loophole that has been left un-noticed (maybe not, you tell me) that, usually well established domain registrars provide a deal on domain names, say free domain for a year or very cheap (under a dollar sometimes) on domain for the first year, and later makeup by the renewal charges.
BUT, … listen to me, what if I just buy a domain at deal price, enjoy the goodies come with it and later when its almost time for renewal I just cancel the subscription. Seems like a good scheme, isn’t it ? … I know this is no new, this usually happens with almost all the free trial providing services. But, why don’t we implement the same here. what stopping us ??
I know you may say There is defined period of years lock in .i.e they will be saying, if you only buy our 3 years plan we will give you the deal on first year.
But, not all of them say the same, see for example,

I mean $10 for a year and then the renewal with $20, I suggest why shouldn’t we just buy the cheapest of the deal and set the term to one year and buy it, later cancel it !!

see this from godaddy website, I have set the term for 1Year, and I am paying the deal price of Rupees 169 which is almost $2.0+ and later when its times for renewal I say GO… daddy. (you see what I did there

If anyone have experience with buying the domains help me, and if you have any suggestions or if you think this as terrible idea, make me understand why so?
PS: I never tried this before, this is just a thought that was floating in my head for a very long time and wanted to ask this with people who are well experienced with. I tried posting this in reddit as well, but got no replies. So, I am putting it here.
